WEED BLOCK HOLD DOWN PINS - HOW TO MAKE (OAG 2015)

Make your own. I’m using weed block, weed mat fabric and black plastic in my garden to stop weeds and grass from growing. Wire pins are used to hold down the fabric/plastic. Pins bought from gardening supply places are only six inches long. Six inch long pins may be okay but I want pins that are eight inches long. Therefore, I’ll have to make my own. In this video I show how you can make eight inch pins using galvanized wire, bought at Lowes. The wire is 9 gauge (what us old timers called Number 9 clothesline wire).
